About Me

I'm Aubrey — a wine writer based in Grenoble, France, close enough to the Chartreuse range that I can see it from my balcony (mostly an accident of apartment-hunting, but I'll take it). I've spent six years in the wine industry, from tasting rooms and wine bars in Virginia and Idaho, to content strategy for wine media companies, and I'm currently working through my WSET Level 4 Diploma in Paris.

When I'm not drinking or writing or thinking about wine, I can be found planning trips that I may never take, escaping into the Alps for a backpacking weekend, or overproofing my sourdough for the millionth time.

This blog is where I write about what I think matters in the wine industry and beyond — voices that should be heard, places to be explored, and my probably over-the-top opinions that my partner tells me I should tone down sometimes.
